I am now in the home straight of the Croftmas kit project and as promised, here is a short but sweet preview of the crocheted snood kit. It is not quite finished but there’s enough done for you to get the idea, so here goes:
As with the cabled snood yesterday, this one is also in Rowan Cocoon and takes two balls of yarn. It is an easy project to get stuck into if you have already learnt the basic crochet stitches: the fabric is comprised of double and treble crochet, but the interest comes from adding clusters, which is a nice new technique to those wanting to move on. I have particularly enjoyed designing and making this snood – much more than I expected, and this will be the inspiration for another blog post in the next week or two.
Croftmas is my first experience of showing and selling work at a fair so in between moments of working on the kits I have been quite excited to see how the public respond to my ideas! Nervewracking of course, but I can’t wait! I will be posting about the event next week, but tomorrow I hope to capture some nice Croftmas pictures to share on Instagram and Twitter. More soon!
